Ingredients
Dough
- 1/2 c brown sugar
- 1 T salt
- 1 1/2 T yeast
- 1 1/2 c warm water (microwave ~35 seconds)
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 c olive oil
- 7 c flour
The Good Stuff
- 1 stick butter, softened
- Corn syrup
- Cinnamon-sugar
Directions
- Stir together brown sugar, salt, yeast, and water. Let sit a few minutes till foamy.
- Add eggs, olive oil, and flour.
- Knead several minutes till smooth and soft. Electric mixer works best.
- Let rise till doubled (about 1 hour).
- Put on floured surface and roll into a large rectangle about a half-inch thick.
- Spread 2 T of butter over the dough.
- Sprinkle dough with cinnamon-sugar.
- Starting on the long edge, roll up the dough. Cut into one-inch thick slices.
- Spread the rest of the butter on a half-sheet pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar and drizzle with corn syrup.
- Place the rolls in the pan, cut side down.
- Let rise till doubled.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes till nicely browned.
